HUNTING IN NM - THINGS TO CONSIDER
New Mexico is a draw state for public land hunting. We'll develop a plan for you based on your expectations so you have the best possible chance in the draw regarding both quality and opportunity.
Although New Mexico may seem dry and desert-like, our terrain varies greatly and so does the weather in different hunting seasons and units. We will work with you to make sure you are well prepared for your hunt.
We have separate hunting seasons for different weapon types, archery, muzzleloader and rifle (any legal sporting arm). This allows us to customize your hunt based on weapon preference, your availability and animal behavior.
New Mexico is a vast, and mostly rural state. Travel over long distances may be necessary over unimproved roads and terrain. Arrangements for youth, mobility impaired, elderly and those otherwise needing special accommodations will be discussed prior to hunt and/or hunt applications. Airport pickup is available upon prior notice and agreements.
NM varies in altitude from 3,000 feet above sea level to over 13,000 at its highest point. Hunts may take place anywhere in this spectrum and this will be discussed when desiging your hunting adventure. Depending on where you're traveling from, altitude can greatly impact your physical ability. We encourage you to be as physically prepared as possible for your hunt.
